This caused calamity all over the world, and no one could remove that crisis. The gods came and begged you and you freed the sun from your mouth, so that their suffering could be removed. अर्थ: हे हनुमान जी आपने अपने बाल्यावस्था में सूर्य को निगल लिया था जिससे तीनों लोक में अंधकार फ़ैल गया और सारे संसार में भय व्याप्त हो गया। इस संकट का किसी के पास कोई समाधान नहीं था। तब देवताओं ने आपसे प्रार्थना की और आपने सूर्य को छोड़ दिया और इस प्रकार सबके प्राणों की रक्षा हुई। संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता।

Meaning: Sugriva lived on the Rishyamook mountain because of the fear of Bali. One day when Sugriva saw Rama and Lakshmana leaving from there, he was frightened considering him as a warrior sent by Bali. Then O Hanuman ji, by disguising himself as a Brahmin, you learned the secret of Lord Shri Ram and made him befriend Sugriva. O Hanuman ji, who is there in the world who does not know that your name is Sankat Mochan.

अर्थ: बालि के भय से सुग्रीव ऋष्यमूक पर्वत पर रहते थे। एक दिन सुग्रीव ने जब राम लक्ष्मण को वहां से जाते देखा तो उन्हें बालि का भेजा हुआ योद्धा समझ कर भयभीत हो गए। तब हे हनुमान जी आपने ही ब्राह्मण का वेश बनाकर प्रभु श्रीराम का भेद जाना और सुग्रीव से उनकी मित्रता कराई। हे हनुमान जी, संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो ये नही जानता है कि आपका नाम संकट मोचन है ।

अर्थ: अंगद के साथ सीता जी की खोज के लिए अपनी सेना को भेजते समय सुग्रीव ने कि यदि सीता जी का पता लगाकर नही लाए तो हम तुम सब को मार डालेंगे। सब ढ़ूँढ़ ढ़ूँढ़कर हार गये। तब आप समुद्र के तट से कूद कर सीता जी का पता लगाकर लाये, जिससे सबके प्राण बचे। हे हनुमान जी, संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो ये नही जानता है कि आपका नाम संकट मोचन है ।

रावन त्रास दई सिय को सब,राक्षसि सों कहि शोक निवारो ।

ताहि समय हनुमान महाप्रभु,जाय महा रजनीचर मारो ॥

Meaning: When Ravana showed fear and trouble to Shri Sita ji and told all the demons to celebrate Sita ji, O Mahaprabhu Hanumanji, at that time you reached and killed the big demons. Sita ji asked for fire from the Ashoka tree, then you gave the ring of Shri Ramchandra ji to Sita ji from the same tree, which removed Sita ji’s worries. O Hanuman ji, who is there in the world who does not know that your name is Sankat Mochan.

अर्थ: जब रावण ने श्री सीता जी को भय दिखाया और कष्ट दिया और सब राक्षसियों से कहा कि सीता जी को मनाएं , हे महाप्रभु हनुमानजी, उस समय आपने पहुँच कर बड़े बड़े राक्षसों को मारा। सीता जी ने अशोक वृक्ष से अग्नि माँगी तब आपने  उसी वृक्ष पर से श्री रामचन्द्रजी कि अँगूठी सीता जी को दे दी जिससे सीता जी कि चिन्ता दूर हुई। हे हनुमान जी, संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो ये नही जानता है कि आपका नाम संकट मोचन है ।

अर्थ: रावन के पुत्र मेघनाद ने बाण मारा जो लक्ष्मण जी की छाती पर लगा और उससे उनके प्राण संकट मे पड़ गए। तब आप वैद्य सुषेन  को घर सहित उठा लाए और तब संजीवनी बूटी द्रोणाचल पर्वत सहित  ले आये ,जिससे लक्ष्मण जी के प्राण बच सके । हे हनुमान जी, संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो ये नही जानता है कि आपका नाम संकट मोचन है ।
